Der bayerische Singer-Songwriter gilt als prägender Musiker des bayerischen Mundart-Rocks. Eine Münchener Tageszeitung nannte ihn den „Chuck Berry vom Schlachthofviertel“. Gerhard Polt sagte über ihn: „Zum Schoierer Hanse würd ich sogar gehen, wenn ich keine Zeit hätte.“ Nach diversen Bandprojekten ist Hanse Schoierer seit 2002 als Solist unterwegs. Im Juni 2018 wurde er vom Publikum zum 2. Preisträger des 5. Kufsteiner Kleinkunstpreises „Kufsteiner Salzfassl“ gewählt.
